GREEN AUCA: 6R Fest

We invite everyone to the social and environmental festival "6R Fest: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse, Rot, Rethink", dedicated to the topic of waste management in everyday life. We will tell you about waste in a diverse and interesting way. And the participants of the Festival will show how to recycle waste from the point of view of science, technology and CREATIVELY!
Date: October 1, 2022
Time: 14:00-18:00
Location: AUCA (Opening and EcoTEDx -2 - CH (440) on the 4th floor; then on the lawn in front of the campus).
The organizer of the 6R Fest is the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) AUCA.
Event partners: EcoMiR, WasteNet.kg, Bishkek School of Contemporary Art, Tazar Kyrgyzstan, Ecovolunteer club, youth eco-startups (Paper2U, Kirpi, Custom) and many others.
The festival will include:
- EcoTEDx - 2: there will be 5 new speakers (personal experience, personal example, experiments)
- fair of eco-products and eco-food producers of Kyrgyzstan
- book exchange from @KnigiKitepter (bring 5 kg of waste paper - and get 1 book for free to choose from + the action "All books at the festival for 100 soms" + just exchange books)
- outdoor eco games with prizes (with Green Club AUCA volunteers)
- presentations of waste processors and eco-activists of the Kyrgyz Republic
- presentations of youth eco-clubs and eco-startups in Bishkek and Chui region
- tricky questions from speakers and gifts from them for correct answers
- lottery with prizes for all guests of the fair
ART-zone:
- fair of hand-made products from "waste" (2nd life for unnecessary things)
- photo exhibition on polluted places in Kyrgyzstan from environmental activist and photographer Vlad Ushakov
Upcycle-workshops of the festival:
- a master class from the hand-made craftswoman Alfiya Kharrasova (from waste fabrics)
- 3 workshops:
1) Bermet Borubaeva (Bishkek School of Contemporary Art & Tazar Kyrgyzstan) - "Zero sewing waste"
2) Ecostartup Parer2U - "How to make paper from checks?"
3) Evgenia Postnova (Ecohouse in Bishkek) - "Use of plastic containers for irrigation"
