Dear AUCA students, faculty, and staff, I am delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations as we commence a new academic year at one of the leading universities in Central Asia. 

The Orientation Program 2024 at the AUCA commenced on Monday, August 12th, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for freshmen and the entire AUCA community.

My name is Firdavs Inomzoda, and I graduated from the Anthropology and International Development Department at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) in 2024.
I decided to participate in the Open Society University Network’s (OSUN) student mobility exchange program at Bard College Berlin to broaden my academic and cultural perspectives.

My name is Erkebai Bakhavadinov. I am in my senior year in the Software Engineering Department at the American University of Central Asia and will graduate in 2025.

In Bishkek, the project "Promoting Energy and Resource Efficiency in the Tourism Sector of Kyrgyzstan" held its final forum, “Sustainable Tourism in Kyrgyzstan: key findings of the PERETO project.”
The forum’s goal was to summarize the four years of work of the PERETO project, discuss the achieved results, and review future strategies for energy and resource efficiency in Kyrgyzstan's tourism sector.

Every year, students from different countries come to AUCA through exchange programs. One of the courses they study is Russian. We asked some of them about their success in learning the language.

 
July 5th marks the successful conclusion of this year's three-day Summer Workshop on Policy Labs in Issyk-Kul, organized by the Tian Shan Policy Center under the "Learning by Doing: Policy Labs and Civic Engagement" program.

"Promoting Energy and Resource Efficiency in the Tourism Industry of Kyrgyzstan" (PERETO) project is being implemented by the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) in consortium with partner organizations: UNISON Group (Kyrgyzstan), Technopolis Group (Belgium), Collaborating Center on Sustainable Consumption and Production - СSCP (Germany).

Today marks the successful conclusion of this year's three-day Summer Workshop on Policy Labs, organized by the Tian Shan Policy Center under the "Learning by Doing: Policy Labs and Civic Engagement" program. This workshop continued our mission of connecting academic policy research curriculums with organizations, practitioners, and policy makers committed to addressing global challenges of sustainable and peaceful development.
 

 

 
The Law Division of AUCA, in Partnership with Arizona University, offers a summer school course on “Strategic Litigation in Human Rights”. The course is open to law school students or graduates throughout Central Asia.
