Students swept to victory in the First Accounting Championship in Bishkek, an academic competition held on AUCA’s campus this past weekend. The competition had about 200 people register from both Russian- and English-language universities across Kyrgyzstan.

The project is an initiative of the Writing and Academic Resources Center (WARC), which also provides free peer tutoring services, and was executed jointly with Ekaterina Kombarova, AUCA Website Director. 

Sophomore Malika Mahmudova joined AUCA’s Writing and Academic Resource Center this fall, becoming the center’s first-even Russian language tutor. She joins Kyrgyz tutor Aiym Aidaralieva as part of a move to expand the WARC’s linguistic offerings this year.

Erica received her undergraduate degree in History of Art & Architecture from Harvard University and her MA in Buddhist Art History & Conservation from The Courtauld Institute of Art in London. She told us a little about herself and her experience in writing and teaching.
