Aidin Turganbekov is a senior student who is about to graduate in the upcoming spring with a major degree in Sociology and a minor degree in Politics. Aidin is not a stranger when it comes to exchange programs. Having completed Bard Globalization and International Affairs Program in New York City, inspired to learn more Aidin decided to apply for a semester at the American University of Armenia during his studies at AUCA.

Closing Ceremony of the CLS Summer Program
On Tuesday, August 2nd, the closing ceremony of the CLS (Critical Language Scholarship) summer program was held at the AUCA. During the program, students have been taking intensive Russian language classes with group instructors, visited various cultural attractions and met with professionals for talks and guest lectures.

Dr. Görkem Atsungur has been appointed as the new Chair of the International and Comparative Politics Department.
We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Görkem Atsungur as a Chair of the International and Comparative Politics Department. Gorkem has been working with us since 2012. He received his B.A in International Relations from Cyprus International University, his M.A in European Studies from Istanbul Bilgi University, and his Mgr. in Political Science – European Politics from Masaryk University in the Czech Republic.

AUCA students at OVGU University in Magdeburg, Germany
AUCA students of the Sociology Department - Aizura Batyralieva, Parwin Faizi, Waris Ahmad Faizi are studying at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität (OVGU) in Magdeburg, Germany. The Sociology Department provided students with full scholarships under “Erasmus + mobility grants” for the semester.
