From September 23 to 27, AUCA hosted a five-day guest lecture series by Professor Andrei Dörre from the Free University of Berlin. The Department of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science organized a series of lectures with the Office of International Students.

The Department of Anthropology and International Development is holding a special presentation by Kanat Sultanaliev, Executive Director of the Tien Shan Analytical Center at AUCA, on the topic “Policy Brief: Practices and Approaches in the Context of Kyrgyzstan”.

From August 21st to 25th, 2023, the Tian-Shan Policy Center organized a summer environmental camp for students "Sustainable Natural Resource Management and GIS in Chychkan." The objectives of the event were to raise students' awareness about the importance of preserving the Chychkan Gorge ecosystem and conducting research on the use of natural resources in this unique complex.

The Orientation Program 2024 at the AUCA commenced on Monday, August 12th, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for freshmen and the entire AUCA community.

Integrating Energy and Resource Efficiency into Kyrgyzstan's Tourism Education Curriculum
The "Promoting Energy and Resource Efficiency in the Tourism Industry of Kyrgyzstan" (PERETO) project is being implemented by the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) in consortium with partner organizations: UNISON Group (Kyrgyzstan), Technopolis Group (Belgium), and Collaborating Center on Sustainable Consumption and Production—СSCP (Germany).

Integrating energy and resource efficiency into tourism education in Kyrgyzstan is crucial for sustainable development. With support from the EU funded SWITCH-Asia PERETO project, several universities have updated their curricula to foster a greener future.

The Career Fair event was not just another networking event. It was a unique experience for everyone, featuring guest lectures, exciting activities and the chance to win amazing prizes. This year twenty sponsoring companies and nine event partners created an incredible atmosphere at the AUCA front yard.
