Every year the American University of Central Asia announces the “Stream” talent competition among high-school students and young people of Kyrgyzstan for winning four-year education scholarship to study at AUCA.

The first guest lecture held on November 30 by Zakir Chotaev, Deputy Director of the State Commission for Religious Affairs, on the subject of religious policy in Kyrgyzstan.

On November 16-17, the International and Comparative Politics Department held its annual Crisis Games at the American University of Central Asia. Open to all undergraduate students interested in politics, the games simulated a crisis scenario in East Asia and invited the students to represent and act on behalf of the key actors in the region.

On November 20, 2018, the American University of Central Asia hosted the awarding ceremony of the 2018 Mary Schweitzer Scholarship for Excellence. This year there was only one winner, the second-year student of Anthropology Program Dariia Akhunbaeva.

On Monday, November 19, Donald Lu, the U.S. Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic was invited as a guest lecturer to have a class on US Policy in the Region.
 

Aziz Surakmatov, Mayor of Bishkek personally awarded certificates of appreciation to the administration and faculty of the American University in Central Asia.

On Wednesday, November 14 the celebration of the Annual Student Initiation dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the American University of Central Asia was held at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after T. Satylganov.

AUCA is pleased to invite submissions for the AUCA Campus Design Competition. The purpose is to invite students to create a concept or an idea for improving the AUCA campus’ front yard in order to make it more comfortable and user-friendly for university community and visitors.
