The American University of Central Asia is accepting applications for the 2020 - 2025 academic cycle from interested applicants for the Afghan Scholarship Program, funded by the U.S. Embassy in Kabul.

On December 23 at 12:30 in the Manas cinema the premiere of the film "The Lake", directed by our lecturer, director Emil Atageldiev, will take place. Note that our other lecturer, director Artykpai Suyundukov plays one of the main roles. Moreover, this film was nominated for the Golden Globe Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

Journalism and Mass Communications department presented "Data Art" project on Friday, December 4. “Data Art” - is an art object based on a survey among the AUCA community. The research was conducted on topics such as tolerance, interests, dreams and life of the AUCA community.

On December 7th, 2020, students from The American Univerisity in Nigeria and The American University of Central Asia conducted the 3rd International Virtual Discussion devoted to Online v.s. Face-to-Face Instruction and Learning. AUCA students not only got acquainted with Nigerian customs and traditions but also had a great opportunity to improve their listening comprehension and communication skills.

The ICP and HR students played an exciting simulation game on "Staniztan Union" (SU) as part of the Introduction to International Relations class on December 3, 2020.

On November 25, 2020, as part of the Global Citizenship class, we had a very interesting and engaging Simulation Game on UN Climate Action Summit 2019. During the game, each of the students had assigned roles such as presidents or representatives of the Germany, Russia, USA, UK, China, France and Chairperson, where were presented country’s policies on climate change topic.

AUCA Online Socrates Cafe organized two discussion forums with world renowned philosophers, Judith Butler and Thomas Nagel, on World Philosophy Day, November 19 (watch the video).

Last but not least! Meet our third winner of the Best Thesis Award - Gulzada Mitalova (ICP). Thesis topic: The Transboundary Conflict between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the Batken region.
