Cholpon Esenbekova is a full-time Instructor in the Psychology department at the American University of Central Asia. She holds a Master of Arts in Psychology (2016) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2014) from the American University of Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan). She was an exchange student of the Erasmus+ Program at the Berginsche University of Wuppertal (2016, 2018, Germany). Since 2021 she has been enrolled in a Ph.D. in Psychology Program and is a candidate of Psychological Science at Bishkek State University.
Cholpon joined AUCA in 2017 and teaches Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Personality, Resilience: Self-therapy Techniques for Personal-Growth, Famous Psychological Experiments, and Study Skills. She is a Vice-President of the EMDR Association Kyrgyzstan (2023-present), a member of the American Psychological Association (2018), as well as a member of the EMDR Association Kazakhstan (since 2023).
